Consolidated reporting and administration.
Reporting, liquidity oversight, advisor coordination, and record-keeping across every entity a family holds—provided as a service rather than an in-house office.
The first deliverable is almost always the same: one statement showing everything the family owns and owes.
The work is administrative in nature: the consolidated statement, the cash calendar, an organised record, and a scheduled meeting with an agenda and minutes.
It is provided as a service rather than an institution, which suits families for whom a dedicated single-family office is not warranted.
The components of the work.
Scoped to the family’s situation; few mandates require all of it at once.
Consolidated reporting
A single periodic report across entities, accounts, currencies, and asset classes—including holdings we do not manage.
Liquidity & cash oversight
A forward view of commitments, distributions, tax instalments, and capital calls, so cash needs are never a surprise.
Advisor coordination
We convene the accountants, lawyers, and bankers, keep them working from the same set of facts, and track items to completion.
Administration & custody
Document organisation, entity records, filing calendars, and meeting preparation, held so that the record does not depend on one person.
When this applies.
Circumstances families describe when this is the right starting point.
- +
Producing a net-worth statement takes weeks and several phone calls.
- +
No one is certain which entity owns which asset without checking.
- +
Tax instalments, capital calls, or distributions have been missed or nearly missed.
- +
The family’s records live in one person’s filing cabinet and memory.
- +
Building an in-house family office has been discussed but cannot be justified.
- +
Advisors are duplicating work, or assuming another advisor has it covered.
The sequence.
Consistent across mandates, varying in depth and pace.
Understand
We establish what the capital is for, who depends on it, what has already been decided, and which questions are unresolved. No recommendations are made at this stage.
Frame
We assemble the position in one place: assets, structures, obligations, and the tax and estate mechanics already in effect, presented as a single balance sheet.
Design
We propose an investment policy and planning approach in plain language, setting out the intended role of each holding, the principal risks, the total cost, and the trade-offs being accepted.
Steward
We implement, report, and review on a set schedule, with an out-of-cycle review triggered by material changes in the family’s circumstances.
